Memories
Darrell Ehrlich
Growing up with my only brother in Jetmore, Kansas, I have many memories of Duane. An unfinished basement and learning how to paint windows come to mind.  However, the memory that I want to post is a living memory.  When I look at the picture of Duane, Karen, their three wanderful children and their even more wanderful wives in Las Vegas in October of 2006, I realize that Duane had a life filled with happiness.  I know he contributed so much to his immediate and extended family as well as his many friends.   When we leave this earth if we can do so with the legacy that Duane left, we should feel so very, very fortunate and this is the thought I want to remember always.    Your Little Brother!
Mike & Chris Buser

Mike - One of the funniest memories that comes to mind, is when Duane and I had the hair brain idea to go on the water plume ride, at the Circus Circus Dome in Las Vegas.  We might as well have jumped in a swimming pool.  We couldn't have gotten much wetter.  When we came off the ride, we were dripping wet, and laughing our heads off for the next 30 minutes.

Chris - I loved the way Duane always listened to me, when we visited.  He made me feel like whatever I had to say was the most important thing in the world.  He had such a gift of making everyone feel special.  I loved his laugh, and the fun we've had throughout the years.

We both miss Duane so much.  It's still hard to believe he's gone.

I remember when he took me,jake, and maddie to the zoo. But they didn't know who was going with them jake and maddie sure got suprised!!!!

 i also remeber the last time i gave him a hug i gave a hug like i was going to see him next week it makes me really sad now.  one time we went to the dollar store and it seemed like he bought me a million things. i remeber when  he took me to schoool and we would alwas end up laughing so hard and i always said when we were laughing to take the  toothpick out of your mouth because i was afraid he was going to choke! I am a very luky girl because i got to take the last picture with him!!!

I remember when the last time i saw him grandpa and i went out to get the mail in the snow and we were  holding hands.i think he is the best grandpa in the world (but don't tell my other grandpa's!!!!) He was always such agenouros man!!!! He loved grandma"s chiken noodle soup and that was the last meal i had with him, we were going to have a turkey the sunday after he died , he and i were looking forward to that (GRANDMA EHRLICH MAKES THE BEST TURKEY EVER!!!!) I will never forget him because he was one of my best friends. I love you forever g-pa!!! And i con't wait until we meet again.;

Me and Jake and him were snuggling in bed.  I also remember me and him and Jake went to a fun thing that had tons of excercises.  I remember one time he was asleep on the couch and I was snoring like he was.  He one time took me to a parking lot that was empty and he let me steer.  One time him and Grandma and Krystal took us to the fair and he couldn't find the van when we wanted to leave.  When we went to see them at Las Vegas they let me sleep in the closet, but they didn't shut the door.   I remember him taking me and Taylor and Jake to the zoo.

I remember many things about Big Pappa.  I remember when Big Pappa took me to Mike's Tavern and we both had cheeseburgers when Maddie and Grandma were at home and he got me a root beer.  Second, him and I were snuggling in his bed.  I will never forget him taking me in his golf cart.
