To Karen, Rod, Mark, Doug, and the entire Ehrlich family,
We are so very sorry for your loss, and can't even begin to comprehend your feelings as you move forward with your lives. From the first time that I met "Rod's Dad," there was a presence about him that demanded instant respect, but also a demeanor that invited us to have fun, laugh, and in general be kids. I also saw that he seemed to be a devoted friend to you all. I couldn't comprehend that at the time because dads weren't supposed to be friends were they? Only now do I understand the importance of this friendship, and as a result, maybe for only a fleeting moment, I feel your pain. When I was going through my radiation treatments in May of 2006, a friend gave me a card with a bible verse on it. It helped, not only to heal my body, but the deepest parts of my soul as well. Perhaps if you see this note it can help you too. "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." Phillippians 4:13. Keep your faith, be strong, be proud, and never forget.
